Tata Indigo Vista review

What’s up with all these car companies just adding an extra boot to its existing models making them look like a sedan and changing the name?
We saw Maruti doing it for Swift which it extended and called it Swift Dzire. Now it’s the turn of Tata Motors. The famous entry level existing Sedan of Tata motors, Indigo is getting a name extension and a new car is born called Indigo Vista.
And NO, the existing Indigo version will not be stopped but YES, it looks like just an added boot to the Indica Vista version.
Indigo, Indica, Vista …. Confusing?
It’s simple. We saw how Indica was re modelled and introduced as Indica Vista. We’ll now see an extra boot added at the back which will be called Indigo Vista.
The major difference between Indica and Indica Vista in terms of exterior looks was seen in front headlamps and the rear curvy shape. One would assume that the new Indigo Vista will also have the same front Bonnet style and also the headlamps as seen in Indica Vista. As the existing models Indica and Indigo have the same bonnet and headlamps. One thing I can bet on is that you can never distinguish Indica and Indigo from front on unless you get a sneak peak at the rear boot, at least I fail to distinguish so ever since Indigo was introduced.
So I wouldn’t be surprised if Tata goes similar in the lines of Indica Vista for Indigo Vista.
Although the technical specifications are still not clear, it may be assumed that Tata will go for the same 1405cc TDi as seen in the case of Indica Vista.
The price tag can be expected to be between 5 – 6.5 lacs.
