Splendor PRO launched by Hero Honda

Those were the days when the Bajaj Chetak was the sole leader in the two wheeler market. It was then that Hero Honda introduced a bike called Splendor, which pulled most Chetak users, due to its ease of use and its fuel efficiency. Splendor remained as the market leader for many years. Years have passed by, competition has increased, Splendor had to give away its market leader tag. Fortunately for Hero Honda, it was it’s on Passion branded bike that took away the market leader tag from Splendor. Then came huge competition from Bajaj in the 100cc market, but still Hero Honda commands respect in that segment.

Various changes were made in the Splendor brand and several new variants were introduced in the names of Splendor Plus, Splendor NXG, Super Splendor, some were in the 100cc segment and some were upgraded to 125cc segment.

Here comes another variant by Hero Honda to Splendor brand, the new Splendor PRO, may be an inspiration from the successful Passion Pro.

What changes can you see?

Nothing much in the overall design but there are tiny differences here and there. The side indicators now have white coloured transparent glass that is ‘said’ to be sportier these days. There are Alloy wheels, improved Speedometer, slightly different Headlight, improved battery performance, improved fuel efficiency and a new generation APDV Engine with advanced PRO series digital variable Ignition system.

Splendor PRO is priced at Rs.39950 for the Drum Kick variant and Rs.41950 for the Drum Self start variant as per Ex-showroom prices in New Delhi.
