If you are looking to buy an Apache RTR 160 and wondering what Mileage it gives, this article could be just what you need. We got hold of an used Apache RTR 160 that has done 1200 kms that was driven by a 23 year old guy in Hyderabad. You can’t expect a 23 year old to follow the manufacturer’s advice of driving less that 50kmph at least till the bike clocked 800 kms and that holds true with this guy too. However, he said (and swore too ) that he never crossed 90 kmph until now.
The Mileage test drive
We too performed the test in the crampy and heavy traffic roads of Hyderabad. Need the way to get the precise mileage figure? See this article on Pulsar 135 Mileage.
Test driving in Hyderabad is the key here. Say if you get a mileage of 50 here, you’ll almost always get a better mileage in any other city in India (Delhi used to be worst, but thanks to the Common wealth games, the roads have improved tremendously, at least in major areas).
With the Indian Oil Xtrapremium petrol that we had in the tank and with a 62kg pillion rider (lol), this Apache RTR 160 gave a mileage of 46.4kmpl. If the Xtra premium petrol cancels the weight of the pillion rider, this is just about the mileage that you could get when driving alone with a normal Unleaded petrol.
And as I said, if you live in any other city, your Apache RTR 160’s mileage could always be more than 46.4kmpl.
