Right, here is another mobile messenger service that is in the process of development, this time, from SMS GupShup. Again, like many (iMessage, BBM, ChatOn, WhatsApp etc), this works through GPRS and requires both the parties to have the application installed on their phones.
The messenger app will be free but since this is coming from a third party, you can expect Ads to be within the app.
SMS GupShup says that this messenger can be expected before March 2012 (worst case) and if the initial reports are to go by, this app will again cater only for those high end phones such as Windows Phones, BlackBerry, iPhones (and iPad) and Android. Since these high end users already have plenty of options to chose from, here’s hoping that the app will also have a basic Java version that can be installed on most feature phones so that they don’t feel being left out, just in case.
